Terms of Service

Effective date: August 19, 2026 | Operator: 25 Alpha LLC

1. Acceptance

By accessing SlopeFactor, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you are under 18, your parent or legal guardian must also agree. School districts that deploy SlopeFactor accept these terms on behalf of their students and staff.

2. Eligibility

SlopeFactor is available to students enrolled in Maryland school districts and their teachers and administrators. Access requires sign-in with an authorized school Google account domain.

3. Permitted use

SlopeFactor is provided for educational purposes only — to help Maryland students prepare for the MCAP Algebra I assessment. You may not use SlopeFactor to:
  • Misrepresent yourself or another person.
  • Scrape, harvest, or systematically copy content.
  • Attempt to access accounts other than your own.
  • Interfere with the platform's operation.

4. Student accounts

Students sign in using Google accounts issued by their school district. Students may not share their accounts. Account access may be revoked if a school district withdraws participation.

5. Content ownership

All platform content — questions, explanations, and evidence-statement mappings — is owned by 25 Alpha LLC and licensed to students and educators for personal, non-commercial educational use only.

6. No warranties

SlopeFactor is provided "as is." We make no warranty that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will improve MCAP scores. Educational outcomes depend on many factors beyond the platform.

7. Limitation of liability

25 Alpha LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of SlopeFactor. Our total liability is limited to $0 — the amount you paid for the service.

8. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes are communicated by email and in-app notice at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use constitutes acceptance.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland. Disputes are subject to exclusive jurisdiction in Maryland courts.
